Supporting the wounded, injured and ill military men and women and their families who come to the Wright-Patt Medical Center (the largest in the Air Force) or the Dayton VA Medical Center on the historic campus to receive inpatient or outpatient treatment.
Fisher Houses are compassionate care facilities (like Ronald McDonald Houses) but are at major military and VA medical centers to support the wounded, injured and ill military men and women and their families. As of January 2020, there are 86 Fisher Houses at across the world serving our armed forces, with more currently under construction (and several pending ground breaking shortly.
At the three Dayton area Fisher Houses, there are a total of 37 bedroom suites, providing more than 13,505 nights a year and savings the guests more than $2M in hotel costs alone (guests stay for free and for as long as their medical situation is ongoing).
