About Us
Day of Caring is committed to helping our community. We supply food and help to the local food banks and shelters to help as many people as we can. Our many volunteers work hard to help out with all the causes that we support.
Our success is a result of supporters like you and because of those that need us. 100% of ticket sales go back to the county in which it was raised.
The mission of Day of Caring is to be a catalyst in empowering the local communities to take part in the solution of the urgent needs through volunteerism. Thereby instilling in all the members a sense of responsibility for their communities. The goal of Day of Caring is to promote awareness of various needs in the community resulting in an increase in the number of volunteers each year. This is accomplished by coordinating and providing windows of opportunities to the local residents.

The face of hunger and homelessness includes men and women of all ages, cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds. While lay-offs and underemployment are forcing many people to temporarily live with friends and family, agencies are setting all-time records for numbers served.
Day of Caring, an incorporated grassroots organization with 501 (c) (3) tax status, was established in 1991 to create awareness and encourage volunteerism in confronting the plight of the millions of people who are hungry and homeless. To help fulfill this mission, over 10,000 volunteers have participated in hosting an annual pancake brunch.
